You know today there are many people that say that the earth is [music] flat. Yes, even in the year 2026. So [music] is the earth flat? What does the Bible say? Stay tuned.

What I want to address today is the reasons why some Christians use the Bible to say why the earth is flat. And I believe this could largely be summarized into one way. They largely misinterpret the Bible because they do not understand the genre from which those verses that they use as evidence was taken. [music] One of those verses that they use to justify a flat earth is when the Bible speaks of the four corners of the earth. Now, yeah, when you take [music] the four corners of the earth from a certain perspective, you might say, Dan, a sphere or something that’s round doesn’t have corners. [music] So, why does the Bible say that the earth has corners? Well, uh, again, this is a poetic way. [music] Think of it as saying north, east, south, west. It’s meant to say everywhere, all over the earth, not necessarily a literal corner. Another thing that flat-earthers like to use [music] the Bible to prove their theory is that it says that there’s ends of the earth. Again, this kind of goes with the whole same concept as the four corners [music] because verses such as Psalm 48:10 say something like this. As your name, oh God, so your praise reaches to [music] the ends of the earth. Again, how can something round have an end? [music] If you would start around, you’ll never reach the end. And that is true. But so why does the Bible use this? Again, it’s a poetic way to say as far as you can go. [music] I mean, Jesus gave this command to the disciples in Acts 1:8. You’ll be my witnesses where? [music] In Jerus Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Meaning what? [music] take the gospel as far as you go, not to the literal end. Another argument that is used from the scriptures [music] comes from such verses as Psalm 93:1, which says, “The world is established and it shall never be moved.” So, some would say, Dan, if the earth is round, you have to believe that it rotates [music] um 24 hours in one day uh for there to be day and night. But the Bible says that the earth shall not be moved. So [music] how can you say that it rotates um in 24 hours or around [music] the sun in 365 if the Bible says it won’t be moved? Again, when it says that the world cannot be moved, it is a literary tool to show us the sovereignty and the stability and the power of God over the earth. The earth isn’t going anywhere [music] unless God says it because he holds it by his power. Some people will even look to language that the Bible uses, for example, the sun rises [music] and the sun sets as to prove that there’s a geocentric [music] um model to be believed in and how God created. Geocentric meaning that the earth is the center of the universe or the [music] solar system and everything else rotates and revolves around the earth. Um that’s [music] how people see it because yeah I mean if I as I’m standing here it doesn’t look like the earth [music] is moving. I mean there’s a looks like a flat horizon that the sun rises and the [music] sun sets. It’s not talking meaning literally that the sun is moving. Now from our perspective that’s what it looks like. [music] It looks like the sun is moving and I’m staying still. I’m not shaking and moving or falling down as [music] fast as the earth is moving through space. Um, but the Bible speaks of [music] it in the same language that we even do today from an observational perspective. Look, as we close this video, you don’t have to take my word for it. I know what some of you are going to say. [music] Dan, you’ve never been to space. You’ve never seen it for yourself, and you’re just a part of believing the lies of the great cover up to quelch what [music] the Bible says about a flat Earth. Well, you’re right. I’ve never been there. But that’s really one of the reasons that fuels [music] this controversy is that people just don’t trust the government. And I’m with you. There’s a lot of reasons that we should question the [music] government for and not believe everything they say. But in this case, [music] they’re right. Uh the earth is not flat. And I think someone that you can trust is our brother Barry Wilmore, who was one of those astronauts that were stuck [music] in space in 2024 and 2025. He’s a reformed Baptist brother. And I believe what he has to say. [music] He’s been there. He has seen it with himself. He’s seen it with his own eyes. And Barry testified [music] at the Ligonier National Conference that I was at and at the founders podcast with Tom Ascll and Graham Gundon that the earth is not [music] flat. Um he witnessed what God created and the majestic [music] powers and the grandeur of God and it’s a beautiful thing. God bless you. This has been another five good [music] minutes.
